Trico Tours is a boutique travel company specializing in immersive and meaningful travel experiences in Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina. Our travelers are primarily English-speaking visitors seeking authentic cultural experiences, boutique accommodations, and meaningful connections with local communities.

 

About You

We are seeking a reliable and organized Operations & Administrative Specialist to support tour logistics and administrative tasks. We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, organized, and genuinely enjoys helping create exceptional experiences for travelers.

 

The Role

Location: Paraguay (preferred) or Remote.
Candidates based in or near Asunción may occasionally work from our office or meet in person as needed.

Working hours: Part-time and flexible, must have some availability during Paraguay business hours.
Expect 15-20 hours per week to start. Possibility to expand hours as the business grows.

Type of Position: Freelance contractor position with flexible work hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operations of the company and help ensure tours are executed professionally and efficiently
  • Coordinate logistics and administrative processes related to custom and small group tours
  • Help maintain organized systems, accurate records, and clear internal communication
  • Assist in improving workflows and operational efficiency as the company grows

Daily Tasks May include:

  • Manage hotel, guide, transportation, and activity reservations
  • Maintain tour preparation checklists and confirm logistics before tours
  • Communicate with guides and provide them with relevant tour information
  • Prepare and update tour documentation
  • Upload and update tours on the company website and external booking and marketing platforms
  • Track client documentation, invoicing, receipts, and payments
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized digital records

Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Spanish fluency and English proficiency
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with email, WhatsApp, Microsoft Word, and spreadsheet/reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Preferred

  • Experience in tourism, hospitality, customer service, or operations coordination
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, Monday, Notion, or Zoho
  • Experience using platforms such as Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Mailchimp
  • Comfortable learning and working with new digital tools and systems

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, language ability, and overall fit for the role.

This is a long-term independent contractor position with flexible hours and growth potential as the company expands. The position will begin with an initial trial period to ensure a good fit for both parties; responsibilities, workload, and compensation may evolve over time based on performance and company needs.

Expected compensation range: approximately USD $8–15 per hour, with flexibility for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Additional benefits or support may be available for long-term team members, including partial contributions toward independent health insurance and/or retirement or pension fund coverage.
